One Royal Holiday
When Anna offers a stranded mother and son shelter in a blizzard, she learns that they are the Royal Family of Galwick. Anna shows the Prince how they do Christmas in her hometown, encouraging him to open his heart and be true to himself.
I don’t even know how to sum up, how absolutely, wonderfully, gorgeous, this movie was! This Hallmark movie has set the highest of standards for all Christmas movies this year. First of all, we have Aaron Tveit in it, if that isn’t enough of a reason to go and watch this movie immediately! Still need to be convinced? He plays a Prince and a charming one at that! Everything about this movie is insanely cosy, the leading female is beautiful and influential to the Royal family in more ways than one. With the Royal family grieving the loss of a family member, Anna is determined to bring the Christmas spirit back in to the family’s life, whilst also encouraging the Prince to open up his heart to all possibilities and finding the belief within himself that he had lost. An absolutely beautiful and moving story-line, with the characters connected in a way that was completely unexpected. I adore this movie so much and hopefully, so will you lovely readers.
A Crafty Christmas Romance
Mandy Page, the owner of a used book store, loves Christmas. When she finds a touching letter to Santa stuffed between the pages of an old book recently donated, she decides it would be fun to answer it. And with Christmas fast-approaching, the identity of the mystery writer and love might be the best gifts Mandy can receive.
A movie that includes a letter from decades ago, with no idea who it belongs to, is always a story-line that captures my heart, so I immediately knew this A Crafty Christmas Romance was going to be one that I liked. Filled with the most exquisite of Christmas decorations, all of the crafts, a mysterious letter and a blossoming romance between two strangers, whose chemistry was evident from the first moment they met. The actors were absolutely gorgeous together, allowing us to de-stress, relax and get in to the Christmas spirit. This is an extremely heart-warming, uplifting story, that focuses on hope, kindness and trust.
Holly & Ivy
A contractor helps a woman renovate a house so she can adopt a sick neighbour’s two children.
Just like One Royal Holiday, this movie completely blew me away and tugged at every single heart string I have. When it comes to Hallmark movies, I’m not usually the emotion person I tend to be, as they are always going to end in a happy ending, yet this one managed to set the water works off in other ways. First of all, I’d just like to admire the cast once more, featuring Janel Parrish (Pretty Little Liars), Marisol Nichols (Riverdale) and Jeremy Jordan (Supergirl) – I couldn’t have been more in love with the casting choices in this movie, even if I tried! Whilst the story-line focuses on the blooming romance between Melody and Adam, the true love is within the family Melody gains with Nina and her two gorgeous girls, Holly and Ivy. Melody and Nina’s friendship was sealed from the first moment they met, the two willing to go above and beyond for one another. Melody was the most gorgeous character I’ve had the pleasure of watching so far, as I slowly go down my list of Hallmark/Lifetime movies to watch this year. She holds so much passion and charisma towards her life and carries a heart of gold, bearing much on her shoulders and handling it all with grace. All of the characters were just everything you could want in a Hallmark movie, I only wish I could see more of them!
A Welcome Home Christmas
When a returning soldier needs help adapting back into civilian life, Army counselor Chloe Marquee welcomes him home, only to be swept off her feet just in time for Christmas.
Another movie that is most certainly going to tug at your heart strings – A Welcome Home Christmas is going to make you feel of the emotions and love. This movie had all of the elements a perfect Christmas movie needs; a close-knit community, respect to our beloved Soldiers, characters with hearts of gold and the best of them all, Christmas magic and Christmas miracles. With two gorgeous actors taking the lead, there is no way you’re not going to be falling in love with this one. The movie did perfect justice to the veterans and soldiers we are blessed to have in our life, showing the true portrayal of their services, the sacrifices they make and the after effects of returning to a normal life. Chloe and Michael’s chemistry grew evident quickly, the two of them making up reasons to see each other every day, baring in mind they had first met with Chloe becoming Michael’s counsellor. The two had a lot in common, especially within the forces and Chloe couldn’t have been a more perfect heroine – volunteering at everything she possibly could, whilst counselling soldiers and now supporting the Christmas Toy Drive, along with supporting Michael with adapting to his new life, she was an inspiration. Not only did she manage to do all of that, she also managed to pull off two reunions that had seemed too impossible to happen. She is all the Christmas spirit, in the form of a person and I couldn’t have admired her more.
Have you had the opportunity to watch any of these movies yet? If so, which was your favourite? Or if you haven’t had the opportunity, which one would you love to watch the most?
