Happy New Year everybody! Honestly, I was so glad to see the back of 2018 – it wasn’t the worst, but it also wasn’t the best. So, welcome 2019! 2018 was the year that I relaunched my blog and whilst that was an incredibly exciting time, my heart and soul still wasn’t in it as much as I had hoped, so alas! A new year has arrived, along with a new spark of motivation! I didn’t really know last year – when I launched my blog – the direction I wanted to take it in and still wish I had held off until this year to fully relaunch, however, from relaunching it, I have had the opportunity to experiment and see what I imagine my blog to look like.
I didn’t achieve any big blogging goals last year and I didn’t expect to, however I did achieve two things that I can proudly tell you all! 1) Just being that I finally relaunched my blog and went self-hosted! and 2) I was sent a copy of Roxie Cooper’s new book, ‘The Day We Met’ (review to come)! It’s really exciting for me that after so long of fighting with myself over whether or not I should quit blogging altogether, what do I even want to do with my blog, what topics do I want to cover, etc. I can finally say that I know! And I’m so excited to share it with you all!
I know I’m not going to achieve all the blogging goals that you can possibly achieve within one year, however, I have a handful of goals that I would love to have the opportunity to achieve this year, whether that be once, twice or a huge bunch of times! I can’t wait to look back at this post in a year’s time and see what goals I achieved and to what extent, so without further ado, here are my blogging goals of 2019!
Not having a schedule meant I literally never posted in 2018 and I became really disheartened with the lack of interest I had in my blog. This year, I will be committing to a schedule of posting two days a week – Wednesday’s and Saturday’s. Wednesday’s posts will be book related and Saturday’s posts will be focused on other topics I want to share e.g. life, travel, food, quizzes, goals, beauty, fashion, etc.
There will be times where I don’t stick to my schedule and release a couple of extra posts throughout the weeks, but who’s complaining about that right? It’s better than releasing less posts a week!
Interview Authors –
I have said for so long now that I would absolutely love to interview my favourite authors and I already have an ever-growing list of people that I really need to get in contact with, but my confidence is just blah. This year, I am determined to interview as many of my favourite authors as I possibly can, whether they’re small or big.
I’m going to set myself a goal of five authors to interview this year! Do you think I can do it? We’ll review at the end of the year!
Collab/Communicate With Bloggers –
This has been something I’ve ALWAYS wanted to do and it looks so fun! I can be the absolute worst at communicating with people, but this year I’m going to make it my mission to really interact in the blogging world and hopefully meet bloggers who also want to give this a go.
Let’s aim for three collabs this year with bloggers! Hit me up if you’re interested in getting involved 🙂
Explore Brands –
Whilst collaborating with brands is not my one and only goal regarding blogging, I definitely have to admit that this would be an absolute dream come true and if I can just collab with at least one brand this year, I will be so proud of myself!
What are your blogging goals for 2019? Let me know in the comments!
